MEDIA SUPPORT CENTER RATE STRUCTURE
The Media Support Center at the Sam M. Walton College of Business offers a wide variety of multimedia services to the Walton College, The University Campus and organizations utilizing spaces at the Don W. Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development.
 
Videoconference Support Services
The Sam M. Walton College of Business' Media Support Center (MSC) will provide staff support to assist all technical aspects of a videoconference. These include but not limited to coordinating a conference, testing of all sites involved in a videoconference and managing the videoconference. All videoconferencing support services are available both weekdays and on weekends.
Prices include room use and technical assistance for the length of the conference.

A Coordination fee of $25.00 is required per each videoconference.

Cancellation Fees
More than 72 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the videoconference, no charge will be assessed.

Less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the videoconference, 100% of the Coordination Fee will be assessed.

LOCATION OF INTERACTIVE VIDEO VIDEOCONFERENCE ROOMS
The Media Support Center can produce a videoconference from several locations in the Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development. These rooms include RCED 203, the auditorium and the television studio.
 
SATELLITE DOWNLINK FEES
The Media Support Center can provide staff support to assist all technical aspects of a satellite downlink conference. These include but not limited to testing involved in a satellite downlink conference and managing the technical aspects of a satellite downlink conference. All satellite downlink conference support services are available both weekdays and on weekends. Price includes room use and technical assistance for the length of the satellite conference.

A Coordination fee of $25.00 is required per each satellite conference.

Mon - Friday 8am - 5pm $100.00 / hour
Other times $150.00 each additional hour

BLENDED DELIVERY PRESENTATION
The Media Support Center offers the latest in blended delivery of a class or presentation. The Media Site Live production allows simultaneous viewing of video and a source such as computer or PowerPoint in an internet delivered environment. Presenters can get direct live feedback from their audience via an instant messenger program that is built in. Cost for this type of recording varies from $50-$100 an hour and includes one operator. Video Production
Field Shooting
The Media Support Center provides camera operators at $50-$75 per hour per camera, with a two hour minimum charge. (See the rate matrix below for cost breakdowns) Camera formats are limited to DVCAM, MiniDV, SVHS and VHS tapes. Additional charges include videotape stock; ask for current prices on current formats.

Video Editing
The Media Support Center has four non-linear editing workstations, which can edit on DVCAM, Mini DV, BetaSP, SVHS and VHS formats.
The costs for editing services varies from $100-$150 an hour with a one hour minimum which includes a staff person to operate the equipment. (See the rate matrix below for cost breakdowns) Capabilities include Linear and non-linear editing, 2D and 3D animation, Adobe After Effects, CD and DVD ROM production.

CD-Rom and DVD-Rom Production
The Walton College Media Support Center can create both interactive CD-ROMs and DVD videos. Using the Adobe Encore authoring software, 700 MB CD-ROMs can hold up to 20 minutes of full screen, 30 fps video and single layer DVDs can hold up to 120 minutes, 30 fps video. Studio
The Media Support Center has a full television studio available with the following equipment:
  • 25' X 40' studio
  • 8 - 1000 w/ fresnels
  • 8 - 1000 w/ pan lights
  • 6 studio fluorescent lights
  • Adjustable dimmer panel
  • 3 broadcast quality studio DVCAM cameras
  • 8' X 12' modular adjustable risers (5" 8" 12")
  • Lavaliere, shotgun and wireless microphones
  • 3 Mackie audio mixers
  • 1 LCD teleprompter and laptop computer
  • State of the art digital switcher with effects and character generation capability
  • Interactive CD or DVD of your program
  • Green screen technology
  • Video streaming as Real Player or Windows Media individually or simultaneously
  • Blended delivery MediaSite Live recordings.

Studio costs per hour include but not limited to all above stated equipment available in the television studio. This price also includes a production crew to work the studio for the client. The studio can also be rented for an entire 8 hour day, for a reduced rate.

All day rate $1,800.00 per day (8 hours)
Other times $350.00 an hour
Other day rate $2,520.00 per day (8 hours)



The production crew included in the cost will consist of the following persons:

  • One video director (master switcher)
  • Two camera persons
  • One audio person
Additional charges include videotape stock; ask for current prices on current formats.

Auditorium
The Media Support Center can use the Don W. Reynolds Center’s 300-seat auditorium essentially the same way as the television studio by utilizing the following equipment;

  • 3 broadcast quality studio cameras
  • 8' X 12' modular adjustable risers (5" 8" 12")
  • 12 gooseneck desktop microphones
  • Lavaliere, shotgun and wireless microphones
  • 3 Mackie audio mixers
  • 1 LCD teleprompter and laptop
  • State of the art digital switcher with effects and character generation capability
  • Video streaming as Real Player or Windows Media individually or simultaneously
  • MediaSite Live recordings are available upon request.

  • VHS tapes $5.00
  • SVHS tapes $15.00
  • DVCAM tapes $35.00
  • BetaCam tapes $35.00
  • Blank CDR $5.00
  • Blank DVDR $10.00

The following rates are for room fees and technical assistance. A Coordination fee of $25.00 is required per each satellite and/or videoconference.
