Thomas D. Jensen serves as the department chair and holds the Wal-Mart Lectureship in Retailing in the Department of Marketing and Logistics at the Sam M. Walton College of Business, University of Arkansas. His research and teaching focuses on promotion and consumer behavior in retailing contexts and has appeared in the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Retailing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, and other outlets. He has received the University’s Teaching Award, been appointed as a Chancellor’s Lecturer and Mentor, and has served as president of the Teaching Academy, Chair of the Campus Faculty, and Chair of the UA Faculty Senate. Tom has worked with companies on research projects and education including Wal-Mart, Procter and Gamble, IBM, AAFES, Marine Corp Community Services, and others.
The Walton College is ranked 24th among public business schools (U.S. News and World Reports 2009). The supply chain program is ranked 11th among public institutions (U.S. News and World Reports 2009) and the marketing program is ranked 6th among public institutions (Business Week’s 2008 Undergraduate Business Specialty Program Rankings).
