Dr. Daniel Pu Liu is currently Professor of Finance and Holder of Harold A.
Dulan Capital Formation & Robert Kennedy Chair in the Department of Finance, University of Arkansas. He was the
Holder of James D. Norris Lectureship in the Department from 1992-98.
During his service at the University of Arkansas, Dr. Liu
has received many awards for his distinguished performance. He received College
of Business Administration Outstanding Teaching Award (1992), College of
Business Adminstration Phillips 66 Faculty Excellent Research Award (1991),
Department of Finance Outstanding Teaching Awards (1986, 1987), and he was
nominated for the University-wide Alumni Outstanding Research Award (1991), and
Alumni Outstanding Teaching Awards (1988, 1989). In addition, Dr. Liu has been
awarded numerous competitive research grants by the College and the University.
Dr. Liu's studies in the finance area have resulted in many publications
in a variety of academic and professional journals including Journal of
Financial and Quantitive Analysis, Journal of Money Credit and Banking, Journal
of Banking and Finance, Journal
of Financial Research, among others.
Dr. Liu's publications have been cited by the Wall Street Journal,
numerous academic and professional journal articles, and at least ten graduate
and undergraduate finace textbooks. In addition, Dr. Liu has presented numerous
research papers at various academic and professional meetings in the U.S. and
abroad including the annual meetings of the American Finance Association,
Financial Management Association(FMA), European Financial Management
Association, Chinese Finance Association, FMA European Conference, FMA Pacific
Basin Conference, Eastern Finace Association, Southern Finance Association, and
Southwestern Finance Association.
