A native of Southern Colorado, Wendy brings a diverse background to her duties at
the Walton College. Early in her career, she was a radio and television news anchor /reporter
in both Colorado and Green Bay, Wisconsin; and later moved into teaching Broadcasting
at Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs. After a seven-year stint as faculty,
she accepted a position as Assistant Director of Learning Technologies, and Instructional
Technologist at the college, a position she held for three years. During this
time, she completed her Bachelor's degree at CSU and earned a Master's from
the University of Colorado at Denver in Administration, Supervision and
Curriculum Development, with an emphasis in Instructional Design &
Technology. In 2000, Wendy was employed as an Instructional Designer at Alliente,
Inc., a Hewlett-Packard spin-off company specializing in e-procurement software.
Most recently, she worked as faculty in the Center for New Media at the
University of Southern Colorado.
Wendy enjoys country living in West Fork, AR,
with her two border collies. Her hobbies include motorcycling, flat track racing,
dog agility, and writing.
