Previous academic positions in the Department of Management at Texas A&M University and in the Department of Management and Marketing at the University of Dayton. Publications have appeared in the Journal of Applied Psychology, Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management Inquiry, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and Human Resource Development Quarterly.

Research Honors
  • Recipient of the award for the Best Paper of 2008 in the Academy of Management Perspectives journal, a publication of the Academy of Management.
  • Recipient of the 2003 Excellence in Research award for the Sam M. Walton College of Business, University of Arkansas.
  • Co-recipient of the 2002 Award for the Most Innovative Session awarded by the Organizational Behavior Division of the Academy of Management.
  • Recipient of the 1996-1997 Outstanding Scholarship Award at the School of Business Administration, University of Dayton.
  • Co-recipient of the 1995 Dorothy Harlow Best Paper Award for the Women in Management Division of the Academy of Management.
  • Co-recipient of the 1995 Richard A. Swanson Award for Excellence in Human Resource Development Research awarded by the American Society for Training and Development.
  • Co-recipient of the 1994 Award for the Outstanding Publication in Organizational Behavior awarded by the Organizational Behavior Division of the Academy of Management.
  • Co-recipient of the 1994 Ralph C. Hoeber Award for Excellence in Research awarded by the American Business Law Journal.
